Using Tea Balls Instead Of Tea Bags
There are many different kinds of tea infusers but tea-ball type
infusers are popular. The tea ball uses a small mesh or perforated metal container at the end of a chain. It works
similar to a teabag, only that it is not disposable. The perforated metal or mesh is where the loose leaf tea will
be placed while it steeps. It effectively keeps the loose leaves inside while it lets it unfurl and spread out.
This results in great-tasting tea and it can be used to brew different batches of tea, depending on the size.
You can get one for a teapot however; single-serve tea balls are much more popular.
A lot of tea drinkers settle for regular tea bag since it is pretty standard, and presents a lot
of different options – especially to the tea newbie. Most are surprised to find that brewing your tea at home is
just as easy and a lot more rewarding. With a few simple tools and accessories, you’ll be able to make your own tea
at home. All you need is an infuser to keep all of your loose leaf tea in one place so that it doesn’t go all over
your tea. If you are interested in brewing your own tea at home, it would be best to invest in one.
Using a tea ball over a tea bag has a lot of
benefits. While the tea bag effectively holds all of the tea leaves inside, it doesn't give it enough room
to expand. The flavor and nutrients from the tea are not fully infused into the water. With tea balls , it will have so much more room for the tea leaves to expand, allowing it to fully release its
flavor into the water as this will result in a better tasting tea. To put it simply, the tea bag is too
cramped for the tea leaves to steep properly.
It is very easy to make tea using your tea infuser, especially so if it is a tea ball or egg. To prepare
your tea, all you have to do is open up the ball or egg at the end of the chain. Put some loose tea leaves
inside and make sure that you put just enough to make the tea taste great. Don’t overfill your tea ball as the leaves won’t have much room to expand. Ensure that
there is ample room, then take some cold water and heat it using a cast iron tea kettle. Its best not to use hot
water as it tends to make the tea taste a lot flatter. Lower the ball or egg into the water and let it steep,
allowing the chain to hang over the side of the teapot or cup. Make sure that you don’t put in too much water as
this could cause your cup to overflow. It also makes steeping a lot harder and slower, so keep in mind that you
need to put in just the right amount of water for an optimum cup of tea.
