  
Tea Basics 101 - Tea Type or Taste
Different types of teas came from a similar plant which is commonly
known as Camellia sinensis and Camellia assamica. You might prefer green tea from black tea and vice-versa
nevertheless the only thing that differentiates them from each other is the process of fermentation. Because
of the methods used in production, teas can be separated into four different types: black, oolong, green and
white tea.
The Black Tea

Keemun from China has a sweetness and wine-like taste. Because it has a delicate orchid aroma,
even children love to drink it. Another type of Black tea that is popular in China is the Lapsang Souchong
which has a distinct smoky aroma and flavor. Yunnan on the other hand has a little bit of spicy taste with an
accent of floral fragrance.
Oolong Tea
Oolong tea is processed to partially ferment and then let become dry. It has a lower amount of caffeine
than any other type of teas. The color is orangy-brown to dark brown and is said to have a delicate taste with
a little “nutty” on the aftertaste.
Green Tea
Green tea is the most popular since ancient times. Not only it gives you a relaxing and soothing feeling it
also said to have medical benefits. It has the anti-oxidants that allow you to get rid of excess and
unnecessary substances from your body system. Green tea also has a complex flavor and can be steeped in a
hotter water than usual.
White Tea
This tea is the most unusual since the process and manufacture is limited when it come to
the quantities. White tea is produced mainly in China (Fujian Province) and Sri Lanka. According to the expert this tea
consists of vitamins.
